Post: Using storybooks in a middle school classroom.

    Posted by Jennifer on 8/31/08

I am a 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies
teacher. I try to utilize storybooks in my classroom to
help introduce concepts that are challenging to students.
Someimes my students act as though they are too old for
these books. I was wondering if other teachers also use
storybooks in their middle school classrooms and if you
have any difficulty with students feeling as though you
are treating them as young children? Also, are there any
good books that you suggest using?
