Post: Hitchhiker's Guide
Posted by: MegB on 10/22/09
I'm trying to come up with a list of books 7th grade kids
would be interested in reading. Everyday, my cooperating
teacher (I am volunteering in a classroom for a credential
class) ends the day by reading a book outloud. We just
finished "Sounder" and are now reading "To Kill a
Mockingbird." I thought Sounder was too easy, but the kids
are having a rough time with Mockingbird. I've been trying
to think of books 12 year olds might like and be able to
follow along with. Hithhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is fun,
and its on the California Reading List, but I think it
might be a little too controversial. Does anyone have any
suggestions for fun reading to end the day?
