Here's my list of books that I use to teach inferencing. The
Goodbye Book is one of my favorites to use, because it only
contains the dialogue of the child. I have them write the dialoge
for the parents (infer what the parent's response would be). I
have several wordless picture books. I split the students into
groups of 2 or 3, and have them infer what the story is about by
reading the pictures. They write a summary and then read it to
the class.
