    Post: Handwriting Instruction supporters

Just heard about a site promoting including handwriting
standards in the "national standards" that the DoE is
promoting. Not sure how I feel about national standards, but
if we're going to have them, I am a firm believer in making
sure elementary aged kids know how to write. We have so many
kids transferring to our school (SC) who can't write and it
affects their work across the board.

Site says that K-12 standards will be done by December - if
you support the need to teach kids to write well (no matter
the form or method of teaching), sign on at
    www.handwritingstandards.com.
