diana I've seen them listed as Guided Reading Levels M and N, which would be about end of grade 2 (but a few of my grade ones could easily read them).

Ann The numerical grade equivalent is stated on the back of each book. For example it might say grade 3.1, which would be level M, or grade 1.9 which would be level J. You may need to know the letters that correspond to the numerical grade levels if your district works with letter grade levels.

Thomas P I'm fairly sure the Magic Tree House books are about 1st to 3rd grade reading level. They're a very entertaining read for young minds, as I was a huge fan of them when I was young.
