Re: Does it ever worry you to working alone with a child?
Posted by denise on 3/06/08

In this day and age, you are naive if you don't worry. It
would seem that you are treading on very thin ice if you
decide to take on this child. Is there any way you can
leave your door open so that there is no cloud of concern
created by working behind doors? My room sounds just like
yours and I think about how difficult it would be to defend
oneself if ever accused of wrongdoing. Yet the kids we
select generally need to be isolate from distractions. I'd
have a real heart to heart talk with the principal before
selecting this child. By the way, I keep my door shut and
    worry constantly.
