	Re: Reading Recovery vs. Masters vs. new programs? Posted by beth on 3/14/08 Hi I got a master's in literacy last year and a reading specialist certification. I am familiar with Reading Recovery, but not with the other two programs that you metion. The best training that I have gotten ANYWHERE from my undergrad through my masters, has been RR. It is hands on and you are able to get results in a relatively short amount of time with most children. See the results and evaluate day to day as to what the child needs. As a teacher you work from his strengths and build on them. For myself, I really believe in this program. So much of what I have learned in RR is carried over to all the early grades, K-3 because so many children are on different instructional levels.
