Yes, now that you word it that way, it is a love affair for a life time. I work so hard and care so much and these little ones do too. I know I make a difference...a big difference. However, we have classroom teachers who are very territorial and they just do not understand...but I know what has happened with these little people when my time with them has ended. They KNOW they are readers and writers. It is a joy. I have taught 15 year old 8th graders in the past...held back for 2 years to no avail. I knew I had to make a difference in the early years.
