Depending on the type of reading difficulty they are having
you need to look at different programs.
For phonics, we use Lexia (phonics-based reading or primary
reading; they also have SOS -Strategies for Older Students
that might work for 5th and 6th). Very good for those who
need Wilson or Orton-Gillingham types of work.
We are going to try Read Naturally for 2nd and up for fluency
and comprehension. (Don't have it yet; so I can't give
personal recommendations)
Of course, all programs require teacher monitoring and then
teaching to the problem areas.
