Re: need suggestions on reading software
Posted by MS Carol on 9/28/08

This is going to sound like an advertisement but I promise it
is not! Our school just got a year of Education City for all
classrooms K-6 grades. It is web based and covers
reading/language, math, and science. A yearly subscription is
not very expensive when compared to other programs. It is
aligned with your state standards and even has an option for
printing out pencil and paper activities that provide even
more practice with the skills covered in the games. You can
track your students' success with the success tracker, too.
My students LOVE it. Their website is www.educationcity.com.I
don't know if you can purchase for an individual classroom
but it was not very expensive for us to sign up our whole
elementary school. Maybe if you like it, your administration
might want to consider purchasing it.

    Good luck with your search!

    Carol
