    Post: reading together? or alone?

Posted by Amanda W on 9/26/08

I'm wondering what the best practice might be related to
students reading stories and such. Should they read
independently or should the class read together, taking
turns? I teach 8th and 9th graders. I am concerned that
students, when given the opportunity to read independently,
    tune out. Any thoughts?
