They only complained if they thought the story was boring. The
program has tons of stories so I have them pick the 10 that they
think will interest them the most.

I did Reader's Theatre with my students and they enjoyed it but I
used that for genre and for comprehension. My favorite is
doing "Piggie Pie." I start off reading "Three Little Pigs"(much to
my surprise, a lot of kids with poor reading habits do not know
nursery rhymes. After, I read that we read "Piggie Pie" and finally
when we are done with that, we read "Three Little Pigs, from the
wolf's point of view." The kids liked hearing that the wolf had a
    cold.

I do not know if it is because I let them choose or if my classroom
manamgement is so structured that the class works. I am not going
to say it is always perfect, but for the most part it runs pretty
smooth. I think my biggest success in my classroom is when my kids
come in my room they know they are not being judged. I tell them up
front, I will correct everything they do incorrect and they are to
do the same to me (and they do) but never do it as if you are
telling them because they are dumb. I tell them the only dumb
people I know are the ones who never seek help when they need it or
    stop learning something new everyday!

Check Amazon.com they may have a Read Naturally book of stories and
you can just tape yourself reading the passages and you will have
    everything you need.

    Good Luck!!!
