Post: Chemistry

Posted by Nan on 4/29/08

    Okay,

I am going to be teaching for sections of high school
general chemistry next year. It has been a long time
since I have taught that much chemistry.

I am looking for suggestions to get my life organized to
make these go as smooth as possible. I also will be
teaching one section of physics and one physical science.
    All are general classes.

    How organized are you?

Do you always have your answer keys ready ahead of time?
Do you keep them organized somehow? how?
Do you keep extra copies of things for students who lose
them? if so how do you organize them.

How do you handle labs? do you make them keep lab
notebooks? Do lab reports? Remember, this is general,
not honors so they are not the most motivated students.

I'm looking for day to day suggestions so that four of the
same thing don't drive me nuts!

    Nan
