***Pretty darn organized. Every class has a bin to turn in work. They are
different colors. Each class is named by a color because our schedule rotates so
you don't always the same class 1st, 2nd, 3rd. That bin is the ONLY place I take
work. Don't hand it to me, don't drop it on my desk. During prep or at the end
of the day, I take the pile out and place a class list on top and cross off who
handed it in, leaving the names of the ones that didn't. The next day, I ask the
ones that were absent for it and then at the end of the day crossing off their
names when I go through my bins. The ones that did not hand it in. I have them
sign beside their names the next day while class is doing warmups. CYA for
    later.

***Each assignment gets an assignment number in upper right hand corner.
Here is how I do a notebook grade. They get a quarterly notebook test. #1. What
is the answer to question #3 (refers to assignment #1 because it is #1) This
ensures they are self correcting if you go over it in class as well as keeping a
notebook for studying purposes. One test to grade and don't have tons of
    notebooks to go through.

For a new class, I probably would but now I have been teaching this content for
so long, I know the answers. Or for anything that would take a while to figure
    out I would.

    File for each unit.

On one closet door is a laminate folder for each class. I have one kid who
collects handouts for anyone absent, puts names on them and put in file for
them to pick up on the way in the next day. They are responsible for them
getting them done and getting them to me and getting notes from peers or
from my notebook which does not leave my room so they have to come at lunch
if they want to copy mine. Extras go in a certain bin, first come first serve, I
    don't make extras after that.

    See notebooks above.

    Do lab reports?

No, I teach middle school. I have a standard format I use when I make a lab
sheet. As the year goes on, they fill in more, I type less.

Next year I will be going from 3-90 blocks to 6-45 min periods so I am doing
    the same thing.
