My daughter has a major case of "Why does this work", and
with all the lights and decorations recently, is asking a
lot of questions about electricity. I brought home The
Magic School Bus and a few other books from the library,
but in general, they seem to either completely overshoot
her comprehension (and sometimes, mine-it's been a LONG
time since I took physics, or any science class, for that
matter), or they're "The light in your house turns on using
electricity", which doesn't answer the "HOW and WHY"
questions she has. And except for the static electricity,
sticking balloons to walls stuff, most of the experiments
seem a bit much for a 4 yr old!

Any suggestions? Or should I hope that next week she's back
to some other interest (although this has lasted several
weeks already). I didn't have any trouble finding age-
appropriate stuff for dinosaurs!
