    Can't be much help here. At 4 my son found the Magic
    Schoolbus book on electricity to be just about the right
    level. (At age 2 he wanted explanations of how compact
    fluorescent light bulbs worked---a much more challenging
    question.) The SNAP circuits toys are a pretty good intro
    for 4- or 5-year-olds who are really into electronics, though
    they are aimed a couple of years older.
