First - here are some links that I explored when I was getting
    ready to jump into INBs.
    http://www.ljhs.sandi.net/faculty/MTeachworth/interactive-notebook-folder/physics-interactive-no-cons.htm

    http://www.journeytoexcellence.org/practice/instruction/theories/miscideas/notebook.phtml

    http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/schools/churchillwootton/Notebook.PDF

    http://pages.prodigy.net/wtrucillo/interactive_notebook.htm

A lot of my old links/bookmarks are "errors" now and won't open
(sad). I've used INBs for years. 3-rings and composition NBs.
I used composition for the first time this year and I like
composition NBs best. I'm going to INSIST that they ALL have
one (NO SPIRALS). To avoid excessive taping/gluing, I'm going
to have pages folded into 4 X 4 squares and glued in the bottom
    1/2 of the page.

Students write a response on every left side page, even if it's
just a "30 word summary" or of what we did that day. Sometimes
they jot a note or prediction before or after a lab or demo.

I check the student response as a "ticket in the door" at the
    beginning of each class.
