in the diffusion through a membrane lab, does anyone realize that sugar is too big of a molecule to diffuse through a membrane with out a protein channel?

bob already using artificial membrane / dialysis tubing and attempting to diffuse corn starch through it. not having any success. trying to get a feel for what the problem is.
