Make this your decorating theme: cheap, will last for years,
requires less than 30 minutes, and requires no maintenance.
Unless you are given a decorating budget and allotted time for
it, decorating your classroom is mostly a waste of time. Buy
some burlap fabric to cover the boards with and use one board for
kid's work, one for teacher stuff (schedules, fire drill maps,
etc). Buy some plants you like and can use at home over the
summer, and bring in a comfy chair to relax in during your
conference period, and be done. If you have good parent support,
give the decorating job over to a mom who has too much time on
her hands. Focus your energy on prepping for lessons
