Not from NV, but my building principal TRIED to move many of the
teachers in my building, too. The bargaing unit got him to
reconsider, so he ended up losing two teachers to other buildings,
one teacher did change grade levels, one left teaching and several
new hires.
Also, we got a new math book with lots of changes and lots of gaps,
which aren't bad, but it is hard enough with only a few changes.
I am glad I am in a collective bargaining state, so we do get a
contract before school starts, since there are alternative plans in
place to prevent working without a contract. However, it does mean
there is no striking. Parents around here don't understand striking
in public schools, so it is a good thing that we don't have that
problem, too.
