Yakko's world is a lot of fun - I've played it for my students
and they enjoyed it. However, it is not very accurate - there
are some mispronunciations, some countries that no longer exist,
and of course it is missing the newest countries on the map.
That might present a good opportunity for a discussion on how
maps/countries are not static.
I would avoid rote memorization, though - your students will
forget it the second they leave the class and it does no good if
the students have no opportunities to apply their knowledge.
