Re: What kind of notes do you give and how do you give them?

My notes are curriculum exclusively. I expect my students to do research on
their own for projects. Why would I need to "dress up" content that is
already interesting to them? My notes are used to replace the textbook.
My state, and most as far as I can tell, are not interested in
authentic/project-based learning but instead on standardized tests. My
notes helps me speed through that material and get on to the more creative
stuff.
Is it teacher-centered? Absolutely. I'm the number one proponent of
interaction in the classroom but I'll argue to death that the idea of
taking the teacher off the stage is a ridiculous one in most educational
settings.
