This is a great movie based on the true story of students who staged
protests in the LA school district in the late 1960's. It illustrates
concepts of civil rights, segregation/discrimination and social
activism. There are a few rough words but they are mostly in Spanish. I
am assuming your students are 12th grade as mine are and the language
didn't faze them at all, but they loved the film and wrote some great
essays about civil disobedience afterwards.
