Re: FASTT Math

Although there's several mechanisms built into fastt math (like support for 508), there's a more general mechanism built in to deal with unknown/any special needs; individually adaptive math fact automaticity 'timing'. Fastt math assesses and adjusts math fact response time requirements on an individual student basis, which effectively allows it to adapt to each and every student. (students must login, and the program tracks their responses, creating a baseline which is periodically updated). For special needs/overall slower response times, I think the worst case 'baseline' response times the program will accept can be up into the 30-60 second time frame- to answer something like 2x2... so it should work well for mild/moderate disabilities. The same adaptive technique adjusts to the other side of the coin, extra fast response time students- it adjusts to the individual student. The required response time "bar is raised" even higher (lower than a second even) for kids who might have good finger twitch like a hard core 'gamer'- they have to answer more quickly to succeed. As far as cost goes, a single workstation will allow many student to use it (albeit not at the same time).
