My school's looking at buying some sort of software to help elementary students with their reading, and the principal's been leaning towards Study Island. Has anyone used it? Is it worth it? if anyone has recommendations for other options I'd love to hear them - our past few attempts to find effective software have been flops.
Jim M We like the ELA offering from IXL.com. It's grammar and mechanics drills, not reading, but has helped our kids read much better. IXL's math content is amazing too.

Anonymous Regular Study Island is not that great, IMHO. I haven't used it since we transitioned to CCSS tho.
