I was not doubting whether Lynne knows what "state standards" mean in
English. I'm sure she does. I was hesitant about some of the
translations because they might be misconstrued by educated native
Spanish speakers because of the meaning of "estado" in their countries
and because in some cases the translation might need to be a little
more specific, as Lynne pointed out. I was not trying to post down
Lynne. If you have been reading the posts, Lynne and I have had some
wondering exchanges/discussions about some of the subtetlies of the
Spanish language.
