Our department plans to replace our Spanish I textbooks for high school. We have review copies of "Descubre," "Que chevere,"Asi de dice," and "Avancemos."

We have just begun the process of review.

I wonder if anyone my have opinions or recommendations about choosing a new novice-level Spanish textbook.

I would appreciate whatever suggestions you might have.

Lola "Descubre" is difficult. It's like a college-level textbook. Some of their online activites are really great, but many others are just too difficult and the kids don't get a lot out of them. They just keep guessing until they get it right.

I know on my Temas, I can set the number of attempts a student can do on an assignment before it won't let the students answer any more.
