Re: Preparing child when para is out

How about creating a book to help him get ready? Include
pictures of him, his para, and, if possible, the substitute.
Here are two titles from Tarheel Reader: "When My Teacher
Goes Home" and "Mrs. Marrelli’s baby". Neither is exactly
right, but they'll give you some ideas and you can create
    your own pretty easily.

If you aren't familiar with Tarheel Reader, check it out at
www.tarheelreader.org. It's a great site with thousands of
free books that can be really useful with our kids. They can
be read aloud by the computer in one of three voices. They
use photos and many are age-apprpropriate for older kids
too. They are even accessible using one or two switches and
    intellitools.
