Re: advice on daughter

Jean-has she been checked for Basilar Arterial Migraine? It's a rare
form where migraines actually can trigger non-convulsive/psychomotor
seizures, and is most common in adolescent girls. It is possible that
she's on the wrong medication or on more medication than she really
needs, which then can cause all sorts of physiological and emotional
side effects. Your daughter's story sounds very similar to mine (except
that I had teachers who understood that I wasn't "all there" due to the
medication, and I'm convinced I passed the 2nd semester of senior year
only because they were merciful).
The good news is that if it is BAM, it's usually outgrown by the mid
20s, once hormones are stable, although classic migraines may hang
around, and it may come back during pregnancy.
