Hi! I am a student teacher working in a self-contained school community based classroom. I am having trouble finding a way to make my lowest function student more a part of the lesson. If anyone could provide some help, that would be fantastic!

Linda Strategies that I use:

Ask the student a question about what you are teaching and provide two choices for her/him to pick from (all subjects).

If showing something on a map or projector screen, have that child be the one to point to the location (with your assistance). This shows the child can follow a one step direction.
