Post: Doing It Again

Hi! I am going into my second student teaching practicum
in the fall. Last semester, I was student teaching but was
not allowed to finish (not due to any disciplinary or
attendance issues, but because of confidentiality I cannot
disclose). I was told by my CTs and Uni. Supervisors that
teaching wasn't for me, that I was "uncertifiable," and I
should pursue other careers. To make a long story short, I
was very devastated, but this experience only made me want
to teach even more. So, I persisted and I'm going back for
yet another semester to student teach and get certified.
Has anyone else encountered obstacles their first time
around and went back to student teach? I have a laundry
list of things of things to do differently next time
around, but would like to hear from others about what was
different for them.
