Re: Doing It Again
Posted by sj on 4/14/08

I had to take a leave of absence after my first seven weeks of
student teaching. Mine was a health issue, but there was a massive
amount of miscommunication between myself, my CT, and my university
supervisor, which left me with a lot of confidence issue going back
    in.
Honestly, though getting to start the school year as a ST in the
fall is a great experience, and I loved where I got to finish my
student teaching. I think communication is key. Set goals for
yourself with your CT. My CT the second time around was incrediblely
supportive, and understood my health problems. I am somewhat
introverted and always kind of felt like I was putting on a show
when I was teaching, but the last part of my student teaching really
helped me find myself and my style as a teacher. Don't give up if
its what you want to do, just learn from your mistakes.
