    I think that you should persue this teaching career if that
    is what really makes you happy. If you really want this
    maybe there are some things you could change, to make others
    see that you really want it too. By going back to student
    teaching is the first step. Who is anyone, to tell you what
    you should or shouldn't do with your LIFE. Especially
    someone who doesnt even know you on a personal level. I
    think that you should continue to persue this no matter what
    everyone tells you, if it makes you happy. Good luck, with
    students teaching!
