Re: Whats the worst thing that a student teacher has done?
Posted by now a veteran teacher on 5/05/08

My CT did not like me. She was petty, mean, determined that I would fail.
She never encouraged me. She was going through menopause and a divorce
at the same time, so I understand that she was very emotionally
preoccupied. She left to go on a cruise for a week during my student
teaching. Thank God for my university supervisor!!! She saw exactly what
was going on and saw that I WAS a good teacher and encouraged me so much.
Once they both sat in on a lesson- and while my CT was all negative and
cutting me down- my supervisor's was encouraging, gave relevant and
helpful critizim. I did not fail student teaching- I recieved a B, which
    was unfortunate b/c I don't think I did B work. However, I am now a
successful teacher and work well with parents, students, and co-workers.
Parents request me for their children. My CT, I don't seek information
about her, but she is no longer teaching.
