(previously stomach lady) on 5/05/08 Thank you so much Been There - I honestly appreciate everyone's kind words and thoughts while I am going through this. I was really suprised to see on here that I was not the only one who was experiencing many of the same issues. It really gets me down that teachers that shouldn't take on a ST, still do - mainly because they think it may help their careers. This weekend I took time for myself to re-center my brain. (I was having a pity party all last week.) I have been so distressed about everything that was going on - but have not been going off on the school about it all. But I got an email the other day from my SS (who works at my college) - and she thanked me and let me know that she felt I was handling the matter in a very professional way. I am looking forward to being a teacher so I can be a good mentor to another student. This just shows me for the future, what to do for them and what to tell them as their student teaching progresses. I am looking forward to a better experience my second time around - it is just unfortunate that it has to be in August!
