Re: My stomach is going crazy
Posted by Rodeo to Seven on 5/09/08

This post is from me to Seven. Why don't all you nasty, ugly posters
go away. This isn't for you. Mind your own business.

    Seven--
I am really proud of you that you went on and succeeded in another
program. Those people posting that it is not legal and those schools
cannot getaway with that are hilarious. Do you know whether to laugh
or cry at them? Anyway, you could just join another credential
program. I know one that would allow you to transfer most of your
credits for the credential classes that you passed (which was all
until the end, correct?). You would probably end up only needing to
take like two or three classes. And the student teaching at this
    program is only 16 weeks.

If you want to know the name of the school then let me know. I don't
want to post it on this board because too many of these posters are
just too nasty. It is in San Diego. The school is very nice. They
really work with the teacher-hopefuls and go out of their way for you.
They are very understanding. I really think you could tell them the
entire story and they would not treat you like a leper at all. I think
they would understand. Or do not tell them anything. Just transfer
your credits. And if anyone at the old school spreads nasty gossip
about you to the new program (illegal but I wouldn't put it past them)
then just have a heart to heart with our credential director and tell
her what happened. Believe me, at this program, if they have a good
impression of you, then they are going to believe you.

But why bother teaching K-12. Now that you have a masters you can
teach in community college. You will be better paid, work much less,
and be treated much better working in community college. Why don't you
do that instead. I think you will be much more happy. K-12 teaching
can be just really abusive. I think your credential experience is a
good taste of how really unfair and abusive the teaching profession
    can be for K-12.
