Post: Interviewing
Posted by Interviewing on 6/07/08
I am interviewing for teacher jobs as I just obtained my
teacher's license. I have a black suit from Limited that I
am wearing. However, it has been about 95 degrees where I
live. When I get to the interviews, the principals all
seem to have tank tops and shorts on. Of course, I
wouldn't wear tank tops and shorts to a job interview, but
I feel stupid wearing a suit when they are dressed so
casual. Also, I am dripping with sweat just walking
through the parking lot and some schools don't have air
conditioning. Am I still supposed to wear a suit? I
actually had a hard time finding high heel closed toe
black shoes to go with my suit because the malls where I
live are all selling flip flops and sandals. I finally
found shoes, but it feels like I am the only person in my
city who has to interview for jobs. Does anyone else feel
dumb wearing a suit when they interview? Thanks!
