Re: Interviewing
Posted by interviewing people right now on 6/12/08
I am on an interviewing committee this summer in Mississippi
(it's WICKED HOT). There is a section on our interview rating
sheet about how the person we're interviewing is dressed. You
might feel out of place being dressed professionally, but this
IS their first impression of you. You know they won't be
wearing t-shirts and shorts during the school year - they need
to know what YOU will dress like during the school year. One
person we interviewed was automatically put in the "NO" file
because she showed up in a tank top, capri pants and sandals.
I agree with the skirt thing - just make sure it's not too
short (one was put in the "NO" pile for that, too) and you
need to wear hose (sorry!!).
Good luck!
