My name is Bill Cecil (Michigan Teacher of the Year 2003-2004), and I created this free video with MIEM to share with educators around the country. This motivating, 90 minute video is broken into six segments. Segments 4-6 talk about how to set up a positive, safe, and productive learning environment in your classroom each year by using these four easy to learn and easy to use strategies called "Setting the Table for Success." It is worth a look and won't cost you a thing. You can also download and share with others. Go to www.gomiem.org and click on my picture. I think it will give you some great ideas to add to what you are already doing, and these four strategies will help you with your student teaching, sounding better prepared in your interviews to help land that first teaching position, and setting up your first classroom.
