Can you assume that:
A) They can all access Powerpoint
B) They know who to use it?
If you meant this to be in in class activity, keep in mind
that AT A MIMIMIUM you'll need to:
A) plan to spend a full day teaching Powerpoint
B) give them homework to create a draft of what they want
to write
C) have a computer day where they make them
D) have at least 2 full presentation days
I'm not saying don't do it, but do keep in mind that it'll
be at least a four day project..make sure you can spend at
least 4 days on it... and assume something will go wrong and
you'll really need more time than you planned for.
I think at times new teachers get so excited by the
possibilies of what we can do with computers/the internet
that we over-look the practical aspects of what we really
need to do all of the projects we want to do. So try it and
enjoy it.. just be realistic as you do so.
