Here in Canada, I would go and get one of the small packs of
ColdFx--the ones you take when you are already sick. I've
always found that I start to feel better around the middle of
the second day of the treatment. And, start taking a multi-
vitamin/multi-mineral supplement, with zinc in it. Student
teaching is very stressful and you will burn off more of your B
and C vitamins than normal, which will negatively impact the
ability of your immune system to respond to the absolute
avalanche of germs and viruses you are being swamped with. It
is never too late to start with the vitamins and minerals,
although it may not help with this cold. Get lots of sleep and
stay hydrated, to keep your mucous membranes operating well. Ask
your cooperating teacher what she does when she is sick and
still teaching, to keep from infecting the kids.
Good luck!
