I really had the very BEST cooperating teachers anyone could EVER
ask for. Not only were they most supportive teachers I've ever met,
but they actually threw a surprise party for me -after- I had left
a week early to take a long-term sub position.

I checked in to the school to "visit" my classes. When I got there,
two kids were waiting for me and asked me to come with them. We
went to the cafeteria and when I got there, my entire junior high
was there (I taught 5, 6, 7, 8 for student teaching.) There was a
huge cake with presents from every class. I received several gift
cards as well as many teacher goodies. The letters from the kids
were the most amazing though. I cried, my CTs cried and some of my
kids cried.

I will never forget that day for as long as I live. I definitely
have big shoes to fill when I have a student teacher someday
