There is nothing wrong with subbing after graduation! While I
can't speak from personal experience, my sister began to
substitute while completing her Master's degree. One of the
schools she worked at loved her so much as a substitute and saw
how well she worked with the students, they created a position to
give her! She became the second science teacher, servicing K-2
graders while the other science teacher focused 3-5. After a few
years, a classroom position opened up and given to her.
Subbing is most definitely a good way to get your foot in the door
with multiple schools. You can start networking with those in
positions to get you a permanent position.
