Are these observations done by your university supervisor? What
kind of criticism are you receiving? How is it said to you?
Does your cooperating teacher agree?
What kinds of things were you criticized for? Can you provide
evidence/explanation on why you received "this" for "that?" If
you can (and if you've improved, you can), the next time, you
and whoever observes you meet, I would explain your concerns. I
would tell them you appreciate their advice/suggestions, that
you want to be successful, that kind of thing.
And try not to be hard on yourself. Sometimes, I think we're
our own worst enemies. My first full year of teaching was very
difficult. I didn't know if I was going to make it. I even went
online to see what kind of other jobs were out there, other
than teaching. My second full year (this year) has been going a
lot more smoothly. I'm more confident. I love being in front of
the students and chatting with my colleagues (at the end of the
day). I actually look forward to Mondays. :)
Best of luck to you. Hang in there.
