Denise, I am sorry you are not having a good experience.
Unfortunately, when student teaching, you might not get a
chance to do your own things. :( It's hard and incredibly
irritating, but your best bet, in my opinion, is to just go
along with it. You'll have your chance someday soon. Other
options include A) discussing this with her and B) discussing
this with your university supervisor. Make sure you are
appreciative of your CT's suggestions when doing so.
I can relate to the CT ALWAYS being there. Legally, she is
responsible for her students and perhaps she doesn't want to
risk something happening and her not being readily available.
It might not have anything to do with you.
