I hope that you find what you are looking for. It is tough when
deep down in your soul you KNOW that you are a teacher and yet
you're not given the chance to prove yourself. We both know that
you are a superb educator and any school would benefit from having
    you on staff full time.

As it is, I know how you feel. I went through the same thing four
years ago when I was still with the first district that I taught
with. They gave me ONE contact position and then relegated me to
subbing for one and a half years. I watched other teachers who
were less qualified than myself hired into positions just because
they were related to people in the district. Finally I just had
enough and applied to another district (the one I'm with now) and
was hired on IMMEDIATELY into a contracted teaching position. I
was one of the lucky ones I guess, as I didn't have to sub and I'm
    now tenured.

Have faith - something will come up. You have so many skills that
people are looking for out in the employment world, be it in the
education field or not. Maybe you are meant to work in something
related to education, just not in a school, perhaps in a group
home or something like that? Just a thought.

Follow your heart, as it will lead you to where you are supposed
    to be.

    country hicks.
