Good morning, Lafemme,
My husband and I were just commenting on how dark it is and so
early!

Glad you got that out of the way, I bet. I went for a walk today.
My husband teased me that it wasn't much exercise since I stopped
off at a number of houses on the way home. I picked up some forms
from a neighbor friend who gave me a story for my folklore project
(and talked about our children), stopped off at two people's homes
to ask them for pics of their Halloween decorations so I can use
them in my paper, stopped off at another friend's house and
collected two stories from her about premonitions she has had,
stopped off at a teacher friend's house to ask for anything she
might have and to update her on how the kids are doing (since she
had both of them in at-home preschool when they were little), and
she told me that a teacher I like a lot from one school where I've
subbed a lot lives right next-door to her, so I dropped in on her
and we chatted. So it was a nice walk. Daughter still won't get
up to eat (It's 5:52 p.m.), but at least I did something for my own
health.

We had several groups of trick-or-treaters last night. My husband
decided to be funny so he put a bowl of rocks next to the door,
along with the candy. When the older kids came to the door, he
gave them a choice - a rock or candy (he ended up giving them both,
though). Apparently, Charlie Brown sometimes got rocks when he
went trick-or-treating. He said that, even after he gave the kids
the candy along with the rock they chose, they looked at him as if
he hadn't given them any candy! LOL
Guess what, by sheer will,

herself.
That's true, Lafemme. I know Elyssa is strong and she and her
daughter will be able to face whatever comes.

LOL Okay, just rub it in! I hope my mom is improving. Recently,
she had eight teeth fall out and finally had to have all of her
teeth pulled so the dentist could put permanent false teeth in.
She sounded a little better when I spoke to her the other day.
