Re: Speaking of Feral Children

I am sorry to hear of these incidents. It is horrifying that
to think that people would stand by and watch something like
this happen. What kind of children are we raising, who don't
know right from wrong? It's a sad commentary on the state of
society.
I pray for the children that were brutalized. I hope the
family and friends of the first victim can be strong enough
to support her emotionally. I also pray for the family of
the young girl that was killed.
I don't know of these stories, but know that these things
happen far too often these days. To have things like this
happen at schools makes it even more despicable.
I do know however firsthand, the feeling of losing a student
to horrible circumstances. My school went through the loss
of a student last year, to a drug overdose. The entire
school grieved the loss of this bright young lady. Her
family leaned on the school community for support and are
somehow finding their way through the pain and sorrow. The
circumstances were different from those above, but still the
feeling of loss was/is intense.
Again, my thoughts and prayers are with those children and
families who were subjected to these horrible crimes.
