I lost the Subfinder bingo-there was one job for today but it
was quickly taken. Yes....last time, I was the only
noncredentaled sub at the site. The rest were laid off teachers
who were days shy of tenure. Now they are subbing in hopes of
getting that elusive full time job.

My neighbor blasts his hip hop music at full volume, and my
other neighbors have stopped going to school and one doesn't
even work. But they have much better cars than I have and so on.

My father has told me that declaring bankruptcy is very
convenient-at the end of 2 years one can apply for loans and
all that stuff once again. Where I am, many have fast Internet,
nice cars (often more than one) and satellite TV. But the area
is considered low income.

At the Ramona Gardens housing project, I counted no less than
70 satellite dishes and I also saw very nice cars. At the
Nickerson Gardens project, I saw cars that I really would be
glad to have.

My mother often says that it's best to be poor because one gets
all those benefits like food stamps, subsidized housing, and
all that-that is what she thinks.
