Elyssa,
I know how you feel. We had drug dealers living next to us in
our old house. We also had a bicycle theft ring across the
street. The theft ring was a bunch of kids who were taking
advantage of the fact Mom was away or worked nights. I
happened to see the kids moving a bunch of bikes from their
basement to the one next door. I mentioned it to my husband
and forgot about it. They were busted a couple of days after
that. I felt sorry for the Mom.
The drug dealers were also put out of business but it took
months of undercover buys which were made away from the house.
My husband was a cop at the time. I was very uncomfortable
about being so close to the house.
Overall, the neighborhood consisted of people who had lived
there forever, raised their kids there, and when someone moved
out, the kids moved in. The houses were mostly 2 family. There
were a couple of owners who rented both units and that was
where the problems started.
I can sympathize with you. Hopefully the police are watching
the house and something will be done soon.
